CSGisms – Capital Source Culture

The company culture at Capital Source Group, LLC (CSG) d/b/a Capital Source is based on these 18 philosophies. They are the core principles that drive our decision-making and unite us around a culture of excellence.

1. Own It to Resolve It. If you encounter a problem, solve it or route it—but ALWAYS FOLLOW THROUGH.

2. Don’t Walk by an Eyesore. If there is a pop can (e.g. unorganized CRM record) lying on the ground, pick up the can. Even if it’s not your job or responsibility, take ownership. Don’t walk by and assume someone else will handle it.

3. We Don’t Just Close Deals. We Make Deals. We don’t force square pegs into round holes—we reshape the peg by filing the edges or find the right mold. Our DNA consists of creativity and divergent-thinking.

4. Deliver a Solution. Always Deliver Value. Customers return to the well for a reason: consistent access to value-add solutions. Our term sheet proposals align with customers’ unique objectives and unleash value creation.

5. The Customer Is Always Right. Even when wrong, the customer IS always the customer, and your goal is to make them a customer for life.

6. Relationships are assets*. Customers borrow from us because they know we answer the phone.

7. Conflict Can Be Good. Productive tension drives growth. Respectfully speak up.

8. It’s Either Done or It’s Not Done. There’s no in-between. Get it done.

9. Always Do the Right Thing. It’s not about who’s right, but what’s right.

10. Deals Die in Email. Phone First. The phone is mightier than the email. Phone conversations get better results than text messages or emails, which can be cold and are often misinterpreted. So make the call FIRST!

11. You Have the Power. Your voice matters. Doors are open. Use them.

12. Second Chances. We learn from mistakes. We forgive. We grow.

13. Follow the System. It works. Use it. Improve it.

14. Don’t Know or Don’t Care? When something goes wrong, it’s one or the other. If you don’t know that is completely our fault and we will make it right. If you don’t care, that’s on you.

15. Everyone Contributes to Our Mission. Every role drives success. Whether you’re a pitcher or left-fielder, you were selected to play that position on the field.
